About the Farm Stand
When is the farm stand open?
Our farm stand is open Thursdays from 12pm to 6pm during the growing season (May through October). Check our social media for any schedule changes.
What do you sell at the farm stand?
We offer locally grown certified organic produce, bulk groceries, local milk, eggs, cheese, freshly delivered locally baked bread, local IPAs, organic and natural wines, fresh flowers, herbs, starter plants, and goods from local artisans.
Do you accept SNAP/EBT?
Yes! We accept SNAP/EBT at our farm stand. We believe fresh, local food should be accessible to everyone in our community.
Do you use organic practices?
We are a certified organic farm. We practice regenerative agriculture, focusing on building healthy soil, minimizing chemical inputs, and growing food that's good for both people and the planet.
About the CSA
What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Members purchase a share of the farm's harvest at the beginning of the season, and in return receive weekly boxes of fresh, seasonal produce for 25 weeks. It's a direct partnership between you and your local farm.
How much does a CSA share cost?
We offer three sizes: Small ($20/week, $500 total), Medium ($35/week, $875 total), and Large ($50/week, $1,250 total). Payment plans are available.
Where and when do I pick up my share?
Pickup is every Thursday from 12pm to 6pm at our farm stand at 244 School St, Winchendon, MA. A Boston pickup location is also available.
Events & Volunteering
Can I visit the farm?
Absolutely! We welcome visitors during farm stand hours. We also host open farm days, workshops, and events throughout the season.
Can I volunteer at the farm?
We love volunteers! Whether you want to help in the fields, at the farm stand, or with events, there's always something to do. Contact us at info@farmingislife.org to learn about current opportunities.
What is the Local Kitchen Collective?
The Local Kitchen Collective is our shared commercial kitchen space where local food entrepreneurs can create, package, and sell their products. It's our way of supporting the broader local food economy.
